This is an EDUCATION 450 question

Claudette, I am so glad that you got this assignment done. You have severals areas that need fixing:    Each object should have one action verb.    Then you did not do a complete objective as we gave in class with the three conditions (check them over). Thirdly, this is an assessment, you cannot have formative and summtive together. This is a summative assessment.

The three conditions for an onjective are:  A. An observable behavior(action verb specifyint the learning outcome)  B.  Any special condition under which the behavior must be displayed.  C.  The performance level considered sufficient to demonstrate mastery.

I did this assignment below and I got a failing grade.   The above response is what the professor said to me.

1.  Can you please help me in correcting my mistakes?

Cognitive Domain:  At the knowledge level, students have to remember what they have learned.  Some test questions ask students to remember or recognize facts, terms, rules, or ways to solve problems.  At the knowledge level, the following action verbs describe learning outcomes: define, list, recall, describe, match, recite, identify, name, select, label, outline, and state.

Grade level:  10th Grade    Target group: Ages 14-15  (17 students) 10 boys 7 girls

Subject: History

Learning Objective: Students will be able to identify and recall some of the most important events and people from the American Civil War.
This goal is about how well students can remember specific facts, in this case, events and people from the American Civil War.

Assessment strategy: A test and an ePortfolio put together.  The test would have a multiple-choice or short-answer format, like the one described in the previous answer. This would be a quick and easy way to see how well students remember the most important events and people from the American Civil War.  The ePortfolio, on the other hand, would make it possible to judge how well students understand the information in a more thorough and in-depth way.  The ePortfolio could have written reflections, videos, or other multimedia pieces that show how well students understand and analyze the important events and people of the American Civil War.

Because it includes both formative and summative assessments, the proposed assessment strategy is likely to give an accurate picture of how well the learning goals have been met.  The test is a quick and objective way to see how much students remember, while the ePortfolio is a more thorough and in-depth way to see how well they understand and use the information.  When the two tests are put together, they give a well-rounded picture of a student’s skills and make sure that students can show they know the material in more than one way.  The ePortfolio also gives students a chance to show off their creativity and do some self-reflection, both of which can help them understand the material better and remember it for longer.  Students can show that they understand and can analyze the most important events and people in the American Civil War.
