Review the following scenario, but pretend we are not in a pandemic with a whole different set of norms as you are considering your response.• In this scenario, Sharlina is considering quitting her job. She has a new supervisor, and things are not going well. Her boss is from another culture and region of the country, and she thinks he is very strange. At first, he was a little “handsy.” Sharlina was deeply uncomfortable when he stood too close to her to talk, or when he wanted to hug or pat her after she did a good job on something. She moved away from him when he got too close, and she crossed her arms and drew away when he tried to hug or pat her. She didn’t look at him anymore because she was very uncomfortable. He didn’t seem to be hitting on her in any other way, and in fact, seemed just interested in her accomplishments, but Sharlina didn’t like his nonverbal communication one bit. Now her supervisor has become a bit distant. He seems uncomfortable around her, and things have become tense and unproductive.2. Pretend that you work for the Human Resources department of this organization, and you have been alerted to this friction, though no official complaint has been made. Applying and citing chapter 4’s concepts and terminology, consider the following questions:1. What could be going on with Sharline and her supervisor?2. While we know that it could be that the boss is hitting on Sharlina, could anything else be happening?3. What would you advise the two parties?4. What could the HR  department do to help in such a situation Image transcription text1.
