This unit plan is based on animals and their habitats. This activity is adequately assign to use for a five day lesson plan teachers can come up with different activities such as these that could last them the whole week and even a month to teach them all about the different animals. This unit plan should only take 30 minutes out of each day to obtain the knowledge the students need to know about the animals habits. This includes the animals features and senses to obtain their food. This unit mainly focuses on the students being able to tell how animal life are different from other animals and how some animals have similar characteristics. Students will also learn that some animals have similar features that help them find food using their sense while other animals are very different.
Students will work in groups and individually to achieve certain goals/ tasks. for example, students will work as a group on a Diorama Habitat DIY. The students will be able to choose their own habitat of their choice and have all the animals that live in that certain habitat including the weather, plants, animals, and other things that relate to the certain habitat based on what they have learned.
