Watch the following videos to identify a learning need.

Once identify the learning need, create three learning activities to support your learning objective(s) and provide research to support the use of the activities. Also identify resources (e.g., websites, texts, etc.) used in creating the learning activities. Resources to support research should include textbooks and journal articles.  Will present these findings, an annotated bibliography, and a script addressing the director or principal of the school. The below provides the outline:

Begin with descriptions of the student or students selected. Provide examples of their behavior that indicates their developmental stage and what their learning needs are.
Why did you select these specific children? How was the learning need identified?
Which of the five domains of development is it part of (physical, cognitive, socioemotional, aesthetic, or language)? What specifically do you want the children to learn?
Share you selected evidence-based practices that support the students’ learning needs. The evidence you utilize should include applicable connections to research, theory, and practice. Include citations as appropriate.
Describe each learning activity you have created. Include age group, time (length) of lesson, objectives, materials, and procedures. [This is your learning activity format.]
Justify how these learning activities support children’s development across the five domains as applicable.
Make an annotated bibliography for the resources used in creating identified activities.
Please see the following for additional information on creating an annotated bibliography:  Annotated Bibliographies//Purdue Writing Lab
Consider the activities and evidence you have created and develop a one to two-page written script that shares how you would present these activities to a Director or Principal. Keep in mind the importance of being clear and concise.  Directors and principals may have limited time but want to know the what and why of your decisions. Include the following information in your script:
A description of standards, best practices, developmental research, and principles you use as a basis for your actions.
Where additional evidence-based resources can be found.
Specific practices that support an evidence-based approach to children’s learning and development.
