READ WHAT IS BELOW AND PLEASE FIX.

INSTRUCTION – specific examples from your life would enhance this.

In order to gain new insights and make judgments about our personal, social, and professional goals, it is crucial that we actively pursue knowledge and ask questions about it. We can be introspective and proactive about the ideas, concepts, skills, and habits that we need to learn, unlearn, and relearn by actively examining what we hear, read, and see. We must engage in the art of questioning as learners and citizens of society.

We engage and actively participate in the reading process when we get curious about the material we are reading. Here, we hone our comprehension and critical thinking abilities. By doing this, we may effectively distinguish between content we read for research purposes or on social media platforms. Students who are assigned research projects should evaluate the literature and choose their sources carefully. Only if they analyze what they read will they be able to accomplish this. Many trolls or critics may write rude comments on social media platforms. We should not only accept the concepts that are provided to us as netizens. By doing this, we will avoid falling victim to false information or dubious sources of news right away.

By listening critically, we can capture the most important portions of what we hear. As citizens, it is our responsibility to be properly informed about the news we hear and to carefully consider the message before forming opinions and biases. We can get to the heart of a conversation or speech by challenging what we hear. Instead of just listening, we should act upon what we hear and contribute to the transformation process. Questioning what has been covered in class is a sign of intellectual interest and conversation.

Our point of view or the things we choose to see are both examples of views. People are, in general, visual learners. When we see and experience what is being taught to us, we learn best. However, while representing what we see in literal and metaphorical ways, we must use caution. We can become more aware of what is true and false by challenging the stuff we are exposed to. For instance, the political stances of online communities may influence us to adopt an incorrect opinion of a candidate. Furthermore, it’s crucial to be shrewd in recognizing falsehoods that are given to us.

As a result, developing our critical thinking abilities, social awareness, and responsiveness in the classroom and community come from asking questions about what we read, hear, and see. Because English courses focus on the development of the three major macro-skills of hearing, reading, and viewing, this broad idea is significant. Effective communication happens when these language abilities include the art of posing questions. Students are encouraged to strengthen their critical thinking abilities, creativity, and linguistic proficiency through the course’s activities and assignments in order to become more discerning consumers of the media they read, hear, and see
