This paper will give you the opportunity to practice analysis on a short story and then communicate your results through writing.
Task: Write an analysis (700-1000 words) in response to one of the following prompts
1. Discuss how the author’s choice of a particular point of view affects one of the assigned stories. Develop a clear argument to show how this kind of narrator is essential to your particular interpretation. Support your argument with specific observations and analvsis.*
2. Taking a story from the assigned reading, show how the setting relates to the actions of the characters, the theme, and/or the final outcome.*
3. Write a character analysis of a character from one of the assigned readings. As part of your analysis, try to explain this character’s motivation; for example, what makes the protagonist take a crucial, life-changing action. What reasons does the author give for why this character does something that seems bold or surprising?
Requirements:
1. Give your paper a meaningful title.
2. Your paper should present a central thesis or argument and support for that argument.
3. Use specific examples from the story you are writing about to illustrate the points you are making. Use MLA citation to document your use of these examples
4. Upload your paper to this discussion board by starting a new thread and attaching it as a file. (Write a brief message in the textbox like “Please review my draft.”)
5. Review your group members’ submissions and give at least two of them detailed feedback by replying to their threads (at least a couple of sentences per category):
