Please Read Everything Very Carefully:
Task 1. Please evaluate each other’s speeches as follows:

To those who did not submit a speech to grade, you may evaluate any one (1) of the Speakers above.
Task 2. Click this for the Evaluation Sheet – Cultural – Peer you will use to fill out your Peer Evaluation. Click this exemplar for Peer Evaluations and provide an evaluation similar to what has been shown in it.
Front side of the Evaluation Sheet: This will contain your overall evaluation of the speech based on the notes you gathered from the backside. Please do not simply regurgitate the list on the left side. I need an overall written evaluation as follows:
Strengths of the speaker and message. What was memorable about the speech?
What needs to be strengthened for the next speech?
Offer your observations and suggestions. This is an exercise in Critical Thinking.
Backside: Take notes during the speech. Only run the video once. Do Not Rewind. In the classroom, there is no opportunity for a rewind, therefore, the test is in how well you understood the message at the first go around. Please do not circumvent the system. If you hit the rewind button at all, you’ve lost the intention of the exercise. This is an exercise in CRITICAL LISTENING.
Additionally, include three (3) open-ended questions you would like to ask the Speaker about portions of his speech. An open-ended question is a question that cannot be answered with a “yes” or “no” response, or with a static response. Open-ended questions are ones that require more than one word answers. The answers could come in the form of a list, a few sentences or something longer such as a speech, paragraph or essay. Examples: What is your favorite memory from childhood? What was your high school experience like? What is it like to live in Morocco?

Please scan the Front Side and the Back Side of your Evaluation sheet and upload one (1) .pdf file here combining the front and back sides. Please do not attach more than one electronic file. If you don’t know how to do this, please YouTube it. It is very easy to do. Here are some videos to get you started:

Very Important Reminder: When scanning, be very, very mindful of the angle of how you take the scan. Please scan directly above the document, not from an angle. It is very, very difficult to read when you are not scanning directly above the document. Also, be very still so your document is not blurred. Please review your document before sending it to me. You must produce a professional-looking document.
