Purpose:
To make sure you have a valid argument essay thesis statement
To make sure your essay has a valid counterargument that you mitigate or refute.
To make sure you have a reference (with full documentation) that backs up your counterargument.

Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, need to submit your counterargument paragraph that you will include in your argument essay.
Start your assignment by putting your argument essay thesis statement at the top of the page. (The idea is that you use same topic you used in the Outline Feedback assignment)
Write your counterargument paragraph.
The counterargument must be a valid counterargument (= opposite your thesis/argument)
You must include a reference that backs up your counterargument and that reference must be from 2022 – 2023.
You must show a clear connection between your counterargument and the source you use to back it up.
You must refute (= not true because…) or mitigate (= true, but…) your counterargument
You must use proper documentation for your reference in 7th edition formatting for your in-text citation and the full reference
Spelling, grammar, and meaningful content count
*You can have – but do not need – a source to back up how you mitigate or refute your counterargument (also from 2022 – 2023)
*You can, but do not have to use the same sources that you used in the Library Research assignment
*You must include the outline for this paragraph in the Outline 2 assignment.
*You also have to include the counterargument paragraph in your argument essay assignment.
*The rubric I’ll use to mark your assignment is posted in the assignment folder.
*I will attach your rubric in the assignment feedback box on BB.
