What are the characteristics of men in the media? Select eight males from TV programs (don’t forget newscasters), movies, or music videos you have seen. Deconstruct their image using the chart provided (below). stereotypes
programs having the most realistic portrayal of men
programs using the most traditional stereotypes
From a variety of websites, find six advertisements that use men to sell the products. Include the pictures in your assignment. What image of men is presented in the ads? How does this image compare with the image of men in TV and movies?  (10 marks)
